Metro: Last Light gameplay

One of the most underrated games i felt last year was METRO, it had everything you could want from a shooter and was a good length however for many reasons it wasn't a huge success (just like enslaved) but THQ have decided to make a sequel yay!
Hit the play button below to check out part one of the gameplay video

GTA V - Pre Order at Gamestation?

GTA V has appeared for pre-order at Gamestation, a retail brand of the UK's largest specialist video games retailer GAME Group.

GTA V has long been rumoured to be in development, and was expected by many to be announced during this year's E3 however nothing ever was said.
Prior to E3, GTA V appeared on GameStop Germany's website marking it for a January 15th 2012 release, with sources at other publications saying a 2012 release would be 'likely'.
The game has also reportedly appeared on other retailers' release schedules in the US last month, but this is the first time it's been spotted in the UK.
Rockstar remains tight-lipped on the existence of the title.

Dead Island - Xian Mei

The newly released Dead Island video reveals one of the playable characters of the upcoming Techland's zombie slaying game in action.
I must admit this game keeps looking better and better hit the play button below to check it out.

PSN Pass = No pre-owned games

Sony has officially announced its PSN Pass service, which is said to limit the number of times a game is used.Select new games will come with an activation code which allows full access to the content, but if the game is sold on the used market, second-hand buyers will be required to purchase a PSN Pass code to unlock the game. This initiative is a process to help bring revenues back to the game developers. When games go on sale on the used market, developers do not make any profits on used purchases. They only profit from the first time buyer, but games could be sold many times, allowing the used game dealers to cash in easily without passing some of the profits to the developers themselves.
Electronic Arts and THQ have already jumped on the train, promising that all copies of Resistance 3for the PS3 will come with a one-time pass code for first time buyers. So far the PSN Pass program is game specific, leaving the option of adding the pass code up to the developers. The SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) has expressed that game developers have been robbed of earnings because of the lucrative used-market, and they are trying to take back a piece of the pie to help motivate developers to continue working and outputting great games. We are totally in support of the move, if it does help developers to put the extra ounce of awesomeness into the developing process. Electronic Arts also has such an initiative called the EA Online Pass, funny how EA are the first company to jump on board with this idea...

Burnout Crash Trailer

Burnout Crash Announced

EA and Criterion Games are returning to the roots of the Burnout franchise for Burnout CRASH!
Burnout Crash will be a top-down XBLA game. Taking its cue from the series' crash junctions, you'll destroy traffic and scenery as you strive to rack up as much damage as possible.

"Burnout CRASH! is a crazy mix of pinball and game shows," said Richard Franke, Creative Director on Burnout CRASH! "We've evolved the core gameplay which everyone loved about Crash Mode, and expanded the whole experience using music, style and Autolog to create what we feel is the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform."

Overall there will be 18 cross junctions in 6 different locations and also you will be able to unlock new vehicles as you rack up big scores in the main game but thats not all it seems Burnout is also showing the KINECT some love for a party play game.
Burnout CRASH! is slated for an autumn 2011 release on the Xbox Live Arcade. Pricing has yet to be confirmed but im taking a whim and saying 1200 M$ points.

Bioshock Infinite's Hero!

In the original Bioshock the only thing you ever saw was the hero's arms which had some tattoos and the occasional piece of clothing (but being knocked over by a big daddy you didnt really notice the well knitted shirt)
However in Bioshock Infinite this is not the case you play as agent Booker Dewitt and he has a face!
A face with a rather chiselled famous look about him... of course along with a bit of stubble.
Check out the image below to check him out (and Elizabeth).

(He reminds me of the male main character from Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon)

Fallout: New Vegas Patch

Bethesda announced that a new, massive patch will be released alongside the release of the latest DLC Pack, Old World Blues, for Fallout: New Vegas. Old World Blues is slated for release on July 19th, while this new patch will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC between now and Thursday. The patch will feature a new save system with which a save is automatically created prior to endgame sequence, massive world optimizations in major areas for better stability and performance, various tweaks to audio system and a lot of fixes.

What GTA V could look like

Since reading the article (posted below) in X360 I have started to search the net for next GTA information, I guess the article sparked my hunger for GTA V.
Anyway while looking I came across this video, its GTA 4 but with a PC mod however if Rockstar was to update the RAGE engine GTA V could look like this...

GTA V in 2012?

While reading this months X360 magazine I came across this article which I found quite interesting:

"Rumours surrounding Rockstar’s potential mega-hit GTA V have once again surfaced, as 2012 is referred to by analysts and experts as the likeliest release date.

With casting calls hinting at characters, actors and locations, rumours regarding GTA V have been rife, but no solid info has emerged and with Rockstar remaining tight-lipped, it seems unlikely we’ll hear anything until the project is good and ready.
A 2012 release date seems premature given no info has yet emerged. When you take a step back and review all the facts, the only salient point is that a new GTA, on current tech, wouldn’t push the series enough to warrant the name. With Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire innovating, we could find ourselves waiting for the next-gen until GTA V is truly deliverable. And that makes us happy.
Rockstar are notorious for developing and releasing games on their own schedule. Its absence from E3 is, amazingly, not that unusual and though we’ve beecome used to the publisher developing and focusing on one title at a time, a new GTA in 2012 isn’t as far fetched as you might think.
Here’s what’s been rumoured already:
- GTA V could potentially be set in Hollywood, or Vinewood as it is in the game. This would most likely extend to L.A. itself and potentially northen California.
- Potential character lists reveal a penchant for FBI agents, cult leaders, swingers and even soccer moms.
- Some sources are claiming that GTA V is well underway and could be as far along as the testing stages.
- Is GTA V codenamed RUSH? It’s a name that’s bee rumoured to in development at Rockstar. Few know that GTA IV for most of its development was called FROZEN, so RUSH could well be what Rockstar refer to GTA V as internally.
It all sounds very interesting I will keep this story updated as I find out more information

Microsoft investigating Gears 3 leak

As some of you may have heard Gears 3 has been leaked on to the internet a few days ago, the version leaked is however quite buggy and has a few problems.
This hasn't stopped people uploading videos of the campaign and multi-player though, the reason I haven't got any of this news on my blog is because I myself haven't looked at it (I don't want to ruin my experience of gears and most of the videos contain spoilers) if you however don't mind just head to youtube.

Microsoft is starting to investigate how the game was leaked all that is known is it was being worked with various security teams which are now under investigation.
"We have seen the reports of Gears 3 content being propped on the web and working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation" Microsoft said in a statement given to IGN.

Feels a bit like deja vu doesn't it? Anyone remember that Halo Reach was also leaked a few months before its release date last year...
